Both Leicester and its surrounding county towns have many shopping centres, both in the centre and out on the edges of the urban areas.
Some of these are regional venues that are easy to reach either by car or by public transport.
Shopping centres and malls
The Shires
The Shires, High Street, is the biggest of the malls in the centre of Leicester.
Just down the road rom the Shires is the Haymarket Centre. This is behind Leicester's famous landmark, the Clock Tower. Entrances from Belgrave Gate, Charles Street or Humberstone Gate.
St. Martins Square
Reach it from St Martins, Cank Street or Silver Street. 1 minutes walk from the High Street.
Close to the city centre, St Martin's Square offers a mixture of small shops and cafes, some gifts and offering speciality products.
Out of Town One of the biggest edge of town centres is Fosse Park . This is situated close to Juncion 21 of the M1 motorway. Buses run there from the City Centre.
